MOUNTAIN HIKES
Andringitra National Park is in the South Eastern of
Madagascar. The RN 7 TOUR is the easiest way to visit this Rocky
Mountain National Park which offers a view on the highest Peak
reachable in Madagascar.

Day 1
DRIVING FROM TANA TO ANTSIRABE
- Meeting at the Hotel in Tana the driving to Antsirabe.
To see : Life of the Merina tribe – Beautiful landscape –
Antsirabe (the hot spring city) - semi precious stones –
craftsmen and craftswomen who make amazing souvenirs from nothing.
- Overnight in the Hotel.

Day 2
DRIVING FROM ANTSIRABE TO RANOMAFANA NATIONAL PARK
Driving to Ranomafana National Park
To see : The biggest waterfall of the Namorona River - The rain
forest National Park with its Golden Bamboo Lemur, the famous nocturnal
mouse Lemur, the striped civet, Birds, reptiles
- After Lunch time, visit of the Tanala tribe’s village
- Hot spring swimming pool
- Meet the local guide go to a nocturnal visit

Day 3
VISIT AND DRIVING TO AMBALAVAO
- Morning visit at Ranomafana National Park.
To see : The rain forest National Park with its Golden Bamboo
Lemur, the famous nocturnal mouse Lemur, the striped civet, Birds,
reptiles
- After Lunch time, driving from Ranomafana to Ambalavao.
- Overnight in the Hotel

Day 4
DRIVING TO ANDRINGITRA NATIONAL PARK AND VISIT
To see : Beautiful landscape, remote villages of farmers, the famous peak boby, the moon landscape…
NB : During the 2 days visit of the Park, I will be your cook
- Morning driving to Andringitra National Park after shopping for the 2 days visit
- Have picnic lunch at the Gite where we take a local guide
- Hiking to Andriampotsy for one night Camping.
- Full board picnic dinner

Day 5
HIKING TO THE ROOF OF MADAGASCAR THEN TO THE MOON LANDSCAPE
- After breakfast, hiking to the famous Peak Boby which is the highest
peak reachable in Madagascar 2658m above the sea level.
Lunch time on the way to the moon landscape.
- Walk from the top to the MOON LANDSCAPE which is a view on beautiful rocky formation and indefinite scenery.
- Walk back to the Gite to relax
I will cook and serve dinner.
Overnight in the Gite : Rooms and shower.
Day 6
DRIVING TO ISALO PARK
After breakfast, driving back to Ambalavao : Visit the biggest Zebu market if Wednesday.
- Visit of the Traditional Wild Silk factory and boutique
- Visit of the Traditional Antemoro Paper factory and Boutique, if
Wednesday : visit the biggest zebu market of Madagascar.
Organize a picnic Lunch then go to Anja Private Park.
- Visit of Anja Park
To see : ring tailed Lemur, ground and tree chameleons, caves,
traditional Bara family tomb, nice view point on the top of the rock
were you can have the picnic Lunch
After the Visit of Anja Park, driving to Isalo National Park.
Overnight in the Hotel.

Day 7
DRIVING FROM ISALO TO TULEAR
- Full day visit of Isalo National Park which needs to order a picnic lunch
- Hike for a loop tour : starting with the Natural swimming pool then hiking to the Namaza.
To see : Beautiful and indefinite landscape, Bara tomb, Natural
swimming pool, Canyon, Natural Waterfalls and swimming pools, Lemurs,
sifakas, birds species…
- Back to the hotel to relax.
- Driving to the famous Window of Isalo for sunset pictures
- Overnight at the same Hotel.
Day 8
VISIT AND DRIVING TO TULEAR
- Another morning visit in the Park, this time, driving to the Canyons des Makis.
To see : Beautiful big canyon, oasis and natural garden, Lemurs and
sifakas, amazing landscape of the sandstones formation…
- Driving back to the Hotel for Lunch
- Driving to Tulear and see Baobab trees on the way, other tombs of the Bara and the Antandroy tribes.
- Overnight in the Hotel in Tulear.

TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT OR TO ANAKAO
Here you are free to choose where to continue
If you want to go to the beach to relax or to dive in the coral reeves,
I suggest taking a speed boat to Anakao which is in the South of
Tulear. Or you can also go North of Tulear to Ifaty .

Info- Gift
1- You can fly from Tulear to Tana with Air Madagascar. Check Domestic flights .
2- If you would like to visit the Tsingy of Bemaraha National Park ,
you can fly from Tulear to Morondava check Tsingy of Bemaraha Tour .
3- When you visit Anakao, Longo Vezo Anakao is better to book for a
speed boat from Tulear, they will give you a round trip free for Nosy
Ve Island in front of Anakao.
4- If you are fit enough to travel with taxi brousse, there is everyday
departure from Tulear to Tana which will make you save money. Check
Taxi Brousse .
NB : Taxi Brousse is the public mean of transport which connects the provinces to Tana
(the center).
